Shuhari (From the Eduyama group: Gallery Shuhari opened on the tenth of October in 2010 at Yotsuya 3cho-me. The reason why this gallery was made is because the ten graduated students of the photography school resist wanted a new place to exhibit their photography. The name Shuhari comes from the proverb of the creative art守破離.It means that ‘first of all, keep what your teacher told you. If you are getting to accustomed to do it, you don’t have to stick your teacher’s idea and open your mind and expose your feeling little by little. Then, finally, you can go away from the basic, and improve your talents by experiencing new things.’ That is the thesis of this gallery. The gallery exhibits the member’s own exhibition for two weeks at a time in turn. Sometimes, they have a special exhibition with more members).
